
Scott Harris serves as the Vice President of Church and Global Engagement at Mission Increase, where he helps ministries cultivate and sustain healthy relationships with local churches. In his role, Scott also focuses on soul care, evangelism, and expanding Mission Increase training to serve the global church.
Before joining Mission Increase, Scott spent 18 years as the Missions Minister at Brentwood Baptist Church in Tennessee. During his tenure, he collaborated with a dynamic team to lead local, state, national, and international initiatives, including church multiplication, missionary sending, and partnerships with numerous non-profit organizations.
A native of San Jose, California, Scott grew up partially as a missionary kid in Barbados. He earned his theological training at Golden Gate Seminary, where he also served as a youth pastor at a Korean church in San Francisco. His ministry journey has taken him around the world, including roles as a university pastor at Spurgeon’s College in the United Kingdom and in Hong Kong. Scott has been involved with the International Mission Board (SBC) since 2009, including serving as its Chairman.
