Dr. Blackaby served for thirteen years as the senior pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Calgary, Alberta, and as the lead planter of Southwinds Church. For decades, he has been intentionally involved in leadership within the Canadian National Baptist Convention, serving as president from 2003-2006, and now serving as the Team Leader for Theological Education. He joined CBT in 2007. He speaks in churches, on university and seminary campuses, and at conferences throughout North America. Dr. Blackaby regularly engages with students about understanding God’s Word and applying God’s Word to pressing ethical issues of national and global importance. He is passionate about helping students know how to move people onto God’s agenda.
