John Garner will now serve as the Transition Pastor. He has been a member of ClearView since 1990 and lives in Franklin with his wife, Judy. John holds degrees from Mississippi College and Southwestern Seminary, bringing a wealth of experience to his role.
Throughout his ministry, John has faithfully served in a variety of roles, including Group Leader, Student Minister, Minister of Education, Next-Gen Pastor, and Connections Pastor at ClearView. He also served as the Senior Pastor at Belmont Heights for six years and worked at Lifeway Christian Resources as a consultant, author, and Manager of the Church Ministries Department. Currently, John serves as an Adjunct Professor at Belmont University and as an Adjunct Professor and lecturer at Oklahoma Baptist University.
As Transition Pastor, John is committed to providing spiritual guidance during this important season. He offers pastoral leadership to the church, care and encouragement to the staff, and works closely with church leadership on major decisions. While John occasionally preaches as needed, his focus is on supporting ClearView as it seeks its next Senior Pastor.
