We all know the feeling of anticipation—the eager leaning forward, the hopeful expectation, and waiting for what’s to come. For the last nine months, as a church, we’ve been praying with great anticipation for two things: the calling of a new pastor and the sale of a portion of our land that would free us from debt. We could not always see it, but God was working behind the scenes all along. God has heard our prayers. And now, both are reality!
ClearView’s new pastor is Matt Pearson! God has been weaving Matt’s story and ours together for years, providentially preparing both him and us for this moment. Nothing in his journey—or ours—has been accidental. Even the sermons by our fill-in preachers, including Dr. Jeff Iorg, were perfectly timed without any of them knowing whose name would be presented, a clear sign of God’s providence.
And the land sale? The one we prayed for “in God’s time for God’s glory”? It’s done! After four-plus years of waiting, the closing happens just as Pastor Matt arrives. Only God could align the calling of a shepherd with the lifting of a financial burden so perfectly. Both are God’s doing—we were simply God’s vessels as we prayed and followed the Lord’s leadership. He must receive all the glory!
We are stepping into a new day—debt-free, filled with fresh vision, and led by a pastor ready to guide us to “greener pastures,” as Psalm 23 says. We are all excited to see what God will do through ClearView. We must listen to our new shepherd’s voice, follow God’s leading, and serve together with boldness and joy.
ClearView, our best days are not yet to come; they are here now. Rejoice! And again, I say rejoice!
