Before proceeding, please take a few moments to read the Kids Minister job description and verify that you fulfill the following skills, qualities, and characteristics.(Required) Position Summary: The Kids Minister is a key member of the ClearView Family Ministry Team, serving 1st through 5th graders and their families. The mission of Kids Ministry is to reach and disciple kids so that they become ambassadors of Jesus Christ and learn to live out their God-given purpose (Psalm 145:4).
Position Status: This position will operate under the direction of the Family Pastor. This role is considered full-time exempt with an average of 40 hours per week.

relationships with children and their families

Roles and Responsibilities:
-Provide vision and direction for Kids Ministry—1st through 5th grades
-Build and nurture personal relationships with children and families to disciple them toward spiritual growth
-Plan and execute meaningful programming for children that accomplishes the mission of Kids Ministry
- Lead Kids Ministry through Biblical teaching
- Communicate regularly to children and parents on Kids Ministry and church activities
- Build community relationships, including local schools
- Proactively recruit and coach new adult leaders for Kids Ministry
- Empower Kids Ministry leaders through training and appreciation
- Oversee the budget for all of Kids Ministry
- Support the Family Pastor and Family Ministry Team regarding vision, planning, events, projects, and ministry to parents
- Serve in administrative tasks, including guest follow-up, attendance logging, ordering and purchasing of materials for events and gatherings, and general event planning
- Serve on the Minister On-Call Team that makes personal home and hospital visits as needed
- Collaborate with ClearView staff to support the church’s mission, values, and operating principles
- Attend and participate in all weekly staff meetings
- Other duties as assigned

- Demonstrates a mature faith in Jesus Christ and is faithful in worship, prayer, and congregational life
- Endorses and displays the church’s mission, vision, values, and operating principles
- Exhibits high integrity, including maintenance of confidential information
Exercises good judgment and positively leads and influences others
- Handles multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner
- Possesses computer skills including, but not limited to, spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, internet, email, and church management software required
- Works a flexible schedule as needed, including occasional evenings and weekends
Experience/Skill Set
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- 2+ years of ministry experience
- Experience in teaching/leading children
- Strong communicator
- Seminary education preferred
