This day commemorates the events leading up to Jesus Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection. Maundy Thursday recalls explicitly the Last Supper, the final meal Jesus shared with his disciples before his crucifixion. This is a dedicated time to show reverence for Jesus’ sacrifice.
