Elizabeth taught kindergarten for seven years and has been teaching Transitional Kindergarten at CCC since 2016, and is always looking for exciting ways to make learning engaging and meaningful for her students. This year, while getting to travel some and work with other teachers. Elizabeth is also author of the blog, “Kickin’ it in Kindergarten,” where she loves connecting with other teachers. She loves spending time with her husband, Jon, and their daughter, Amelia and son, Pierceson!

I grew up in Memphis, Tennessee and Jackson, Mississippi. Attended the University of Mississippi for undergraduate and then earned my Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Memphis. I have been married to my husband Mark since 1991. We moved to the Thompson’s Station area in 1996 from Denver.
In 1999, our son Will was born. We now live on 5 acres in the Bethesda community along with 4 dogs and 2 goats.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and animals. I also enjoy cooking, gardening and reading.
