Update from Brisbane

Hey Team!

Wow it is good to be back home in America! I landed a week ago and have had some good time to reflect on the incredible work that God did during my year working with the Campus Outreach at UQ. It is pretty difficult to summarize a year in a few brief paragraphs but I'll do the best that I can!

Ministry Highlights

When I was about to get on the plane to head to Brisbane I wrote a few goals for my year in a journal. One of those was to see 5 students come to Christ during my time there, which seemed like an incredibly big goal given the spiritual context Australia is in. God answered that prayer and blew my expectation out of the water, with 12 people putting their faith in Christ over the year! It was a truly humbling and awesome experience to see that many people come to faith.

Other Ministry

Even though the number of people who converted to Christianity was jaw dropping during the year, there were some equally encouraging parts of the year. First, as of my time leaving there were over 30 students involved in investigative Bible Studies. It is exciting to dream about the impact seeds planted over the year could have down the line in these students' lives. Also, church attendance steadily climbed over the year almost doubling to around 60 students attending weekly. Finally, it was encouraging to see almost 40 students being discipled and trained up to be leaders in our ministry and church. I feel at ease leaving knowing that we have such an incredible staff team and student leaders still on the ground to continue the work!

Final Conclusions and Prayer Points

I can't really put into words just how thankful I am for this year. I got to be apart of God working in incredible ways around the college campus and also develop incredibly in regard to sharing my faith and leadership. I leave this year with a newfound burden for the billions of people around the world that don't have a saving hope in Jesus Christ. I hope that you will continue to partner with me as I pray for Australia and other countries so desperate for the Gospel.

Here are a couple prayer points to keep in mind
1. The new intern, Kyler, lands in Brisbane in 2 weeks! Pray that he quickly finds community and connects well with the students around our ministry.
2. Pray for the team still on the ground, that they would continue to work well together and love each other and have a supernatural energy to see the campus reached with the Gospel
3. Finally, pray for the students who are investigating Christianity, that their eyes would be open to the good news of the Gospel. I am praying that 20 students come to Christ over the next year!

I cannot say thank you enough for your partnership this year. All of this would not be possible without people like you supporting me, encouraging me and praying for me.

Truly thankful for you and your partnership during this year!
In Him,
