Thank you for living on mission

Church family,

If you go back to August of last year, you will remember the series, Beautiful Bride. In that series we launched a new mission:

BECAUSE OF GOD'S GREATNESS AND GRACE, WE TREASURE CHRIST, GROW TOGETHER, SERVE ONE ANOTHER, AND LIVE ON MISSION.

I am hearing more and more stories of our church living on mission in the community, and it is very exciting. One local mission I am very thankful for that requires a lot of church involvement, and volunteer leadership is Room in the Inn. This year ClearView took on the challenge of caring for homeless people, not just one night, but two nights. It is a big task. On Monday and Tuesday night each week, we feed, cloth, pray and share God's Word, provide a place to shower and sleep all in the room that many of us worship in. What an honor! Thank you to all the small groups and individuals serving each week who participate in this ministry and a BIG thank you to the leadership team: Tommy Campsey, Tammy and Bob Ogle, Kaye Gardner, Denise Godel, Russie Carter, Christy Collins, Stephen Williams, and Debbie Elliott. When you see these individuals at church, make sure to thank them for their servant leadership and ask how you can get involved. Continue to pray for this ministry as it continues through March.

Speaking of prayer... Pray for one of our community elementary schools - Liberty. Over the last few years, ClearView has partnered with Liberty in several ways: tutors, substitute teachers, equipment, and resources needed in the classroom. In the coming days, we will have another opportunity to serve teachers and students at Liberty Elementary with basic needs so that kids are able to receive a good education. Be on the look-out for more information in the days ahead!

We serve because He first served us.

Pastor Mark
