Local Missions Connections

There are people in our neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and everyday routines that are in need of the Gospel.  We will challenge our faith family to be intentional about starting gospel conversations with the people in our circle of life.

We work with many local ministries in our community to reach the lost and care for those who need it.  Here are just a few:


Community

BackYard Kid's Club - Every summer from June through August ClearView schedules and promotes BackYard Kid's Clubs in neighborhoods throughout Williamson County.  This gives our members opportunities to open up their doors to their own community through bible study, recreation, snacks and more with children Pre-K through 5th Grade.  To find out more: Click Here!

Franklin Farmers' Market - Throughtout the year, the Franklin Farmers Market located behind the Factory hosts events that bring in thousands of individuals.  We will volunteer at these events to help run things smoothly.  Please contact Rachel Powell for more information, rachel@clearview.org

Liberty Elementary is a model school of academic excellence that empowers all students to find their passion and purpose in life through the development of a strong collaborative partnership with home and community.  There will be opportunities posted throughout the year on how ClearView can serve the children, teachers and parents of Liberty Elementary. Prison Ministry is reaching men and women in prison with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Lives are being transformed. When these convicts are released, they will be less likely to commit new crimes. Contact Rachel Powell for more information, rachel@clearview.org.

Franktown Open Hearts is a non-profit organization committed to the success of Franklin’s inner-city youth. We provide Christ-centered mentoring through weekly vocational education and experiences that prepare our underserved youth for the future. Volunteer Opportunities: Tutoring, Administration, Meal Preparation, Recreation, Life Skills Course, Sewing Class, Bible Teaching, Drama/Theater, Chaperone Field Trips, Computer Skills, Culinary Class, Hunt & Fish, Automotive, Arts & Crafts, Christmas Shopping.  Volunteer Here

Refugee Ministry -  Looking for a few volunteers to attend some events and get to know families.  Monthly community dinner (first Saturday of every month, easy way to get involved and get to know people and invite to Community Bible Study.  Prayer for the Somali community to get involved as they are a very difficult community with strong ties to muslim and tribal religions..  Babysitting at Community Bible Study (once a week, Thurs, Fri or Sun evening).  Help with a Christmas Party.  For more information email, rachel@clearview.org

Orphan Care

Dept. of Children's Services - DCS is always in need of volunteers to help organize, decorate, and help with seasonal activities at their intake facilities.  Contact the Volunteer Services Coordinator Shania at 615.253.3311 or Shania.Thomas-Houston@tn.gov.

Jonah’s Journey is a ministry of Christian caregivers who provide temporary or long-term care for children of mothers who are incarcerated or unable to care for them for any number of reasons. Read more here.


Hunger

Graceworks Ministries is committed to sharing the grace of God by providing services to residents in need in Williamson County.  Graceworks does this through food, clothing, and financial assistance, senior services, christmas programs, and the thrift store.  Graceworks is daily looking for a number of volunteers to serve in a variety of capacities.  Sign up today to help serve by clicking here.

Second Harvest Food Bank is a network of individuals, local nonprofit organizations and corporate partners working together to fight hunger in our community.  Together, we make a bigger, better, stronger and more efficient impact on hunger in our 46-county service area in Middle and West Tennessee.
