Jesus told them, “The HARVEST is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore to send out workers into his harvest field.” ~Luke 10:2
This past weekend, about 65 students and adults traveled to Jonathon Creek for our fall retreat. Our theme, Harvest, was based on a commissioning statement Jesus made just before sending out messengers into town and villages preparing them for his later visit. In our small groups this weekend we discussed how we can apply this verse to our everyday lives, challenging us to live on mission for God. There were some great discussions involving reaching out to peers in our students lives who don’t know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
In addition to small groups, this weekend was a getaway for students to get recharged. On Saturday afternoon, we had rotations of team building games and competitive games. From blindfolded kick ball to 9-square in the air (imagine a mixture of 4-square and volleyball), our students had a blast connecting with one another, strengthening relationships and making new ones! Thank you for praying for our students this weekend.
Please continue to pray that our students will grasp what it means to live everyday like we’re on our a mission trip.
