December 2017 Haiti Team Updates

Tuesday: We had programming with the senior adults. They came to MLS and we checked their blood pressure and pulse rate. Then they colored, played bingo, and Claudia helped lead Zumba. Allison led a short devotional after that and they colored some more. In the afternoon we finished painting trees throughout the village. Then we had down time in which we played games with team members and staff.  Some went to Claudy's house to watch Alabama vs. Clemson. :-)

Monday: the morning activity was broken into two groups; one group cleaned the downstairs of main campus and the other group worked with Mother's Day out. After lunch we painted trees throughout the village again.

Today, Sunday, we are having church and Nate is speaking! Mike is going into Port Au Prince. After that we are painting trees and light poles in the village the colors of Neply. After that we will prepare for a New Year's Eve party and that party is tonight from 9p - 12a, fireworks included.

Saturday was beach day. In addition we planned for children's church and had a worship night led by Dyllan, Eli, Morgan's fiancé (Colby), and his brother.

Friday we had community day, where we washed clothes and did a prayer walk in the village. We also cleaned the downstairs depot and helped with feeding program.

Thursday we took a village tour and sorted supplies that we brought. In the afternoon we prayed over the new land. They told us that they've had 1,300 people pray over the land so far. We also prepared for the 72:14 recital and helped with feeding program. That night we had the recital in which several girls showcased new dances they've learned and three boys played the piano.
