New Orleans Church Planter

About the Family

I’m married to Elaine, and we have three children, two girls and a boy. Anna Claire is 8, David is 5 and Charlotte is 1 year old.

My parents and grandparents are from the city so moving for seminary in 2001 was an easy decision. We fell in love with the city while we were in seminary here and desired to stay. We lost everything in Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and moved to Nashville for five years. In 2010 we moved back to begin the process of planting Hope Church in New Orleans.

Almost two years ago we launched a weekly worship gathering on Sunday mornings.

About the Church Plant

Our church plant gathers every Sunday morning at a dance studio in Metairie to celebrate Christ and His mission and to be equipped for the disciple making task. Throughout the week, we are organized into three Hope Communities; one in Mid-City, one in Metairie and one in Kenner. These groups are missional communities of 15–30 people who exist to be a family of disciple making people living life on mission together. Each group has a neighborhood or people group they are working together to reach, baptize and teach.

Pray that leaders would be raised up. Pray also that our groups would effectively engage people with the gospel and they would be saved. Pray that we would teach and equip the body for the disciple making task.
