Why do we give?
Jesus taught that our money is an indicator of our hearts and Paul taught that if we are loved by God and love Him in return we would give cheerfully, sacrificially, and regularly.

ClearView Baptist Church teaches that God is the owner of everything, including our money and possessions.  When we give, we give back to God what He already owns.  Our giving is an indication of trust, discipleship, and commitment.  We believe that the minimum biblical standard for giving is 10%, commonly called a "tithe".

How does my giving support the church?
ClearView prepares and adopts an annual budget.  This budget is carefully prepared with detail planning spanning many months.  The budget is an operating tool that guides our church in ministry, missions, and operations.  It is important that every member and attendee understand their God-given role in supporting the financial needs of the church through systematic giving (tithing) to the church.  Giving envelopes are mailed quarterly to each church member family and are also provided at the welcome centers.  If you  would like to change your envelopes status, please e-mail peggys@clearview.org.

What is an EFT?

A bank draft is an electronic check.  You give authorization for us to electronically access funds in your checking or savings account, saving you time and the expense of the check.  Click here to download an EFT authorization form.

A reminder from the Finance Committee:
According to IRS Publication 526, Charitable Contributions, in order to qualify as a deductible gift, the gift or contribution must be made “for the use of” a “qualified” organization.
ClearView Baptist Church is recognized as a qualified organization by the IRS and must abide by guidelines Publication 526.  Therefore, in almost all cases, ClearView Baptist Church cannot accept contributions which are designated to/for an individual.
            For example:
It is acceptable to write a check made payable to ClearView Baptist Church with the particular ministry (i.e. Benevolence Ministry) written on the memo line of the check.  However, ClearView Baptist Church cannot accept benevolent gifts  when an individual’s name is included on the check.
