What We Believe
Mission Statement
Our mission is to share God’s love through His message, ministry & multiplication.
Message
God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to live a perfect life and die on the cross and be resurrected. The good news message is that in dying, Jesus provided a way for us to have the forgiveness from sins. God gives this free gift of salvation to anyone who asks for the forgiveness of their own personal sins. Jesus’ message is also that once a person receives the gift of salvation, they learn from the Bible what it means to live as a Christ follower.
Ministry
Jesus taught His disciples how to minister to the needs of other people. He not only demonstrated ministry, He taught them that they were to involve themselves in ministry. Every Christ follower is healthiest when serving God in ministry. God assigns every Christian at least one spiritual gift which is to be used in ministry. Ministry is putting “action” to the teaching of Jesus. One of the highest values of ClearView is that every member is a “minister.”
Multiplication
Jesus made it clear that His message and ministry are to continue through multiplication. Christ followers are to multiply themselves in others. This means that they share the message of the gospel with others and serve others in ministry so that new people will desire to become followers of Christ.
LIFE DEVELOPMENT
We call ourselves a Life Development Church and believe God wants ClearView to help the lives of people develop spiritually. This means that God is changing us for the better year after year; and that our participation at ClearView has an impact on our daily lives. This is accomplished by following biblical principles in our daily lives and leading others to know Christ personally.
I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10 (NKJV)
We encourage life development by providing Bible study classes for all ages, encouraging involvement in discipleship groups and equipping believers to be active in the implementation of ministries.
Acts 2:41-47
PEOPLE
We believe all people matter to God and should have the opportunity to learn of His love and accept His gift of eternal life.
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost. Luke 19:10
We value people by providing worship that invites them into God’s presence, encouraging their involvement in Bible study and challenging our members to share the message of the gospel at home, in their neighborhoods, at work and wherever they go.
Matthew 25:35, Luke 2:10, John 13:34-35, Matthew 22:37, Matthew 28:19-20, 1 Timothy 1:15, John 3:16-17
PRAYER
We believe prayer enables us to receive direction from God and carry out His will for our church and our lives. We regularly practice personal and church-wide prayer times.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6
We practice prayer as we worship, as we pray for requests of members and attendees in our Wednesday night prayer service, and as we challenge our ministry leaders to make prayer an essential ingredient of their calling. We also urge families to pray together and as individuals.
John 16:13-14, Zechariah 4:6, 2 Peter 3:9, Acts 13:2-4, I Corinthians 3:10-11, Psalm 127:1.
SERVICE
We believe we must follow the example of servant leadership modeled by Jesus Christ.
Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant. Matthew 20:26
We practice servant leadership by challenging every member to become involved in ministry, by meeting the needs of our community through Cool Spring Christian Ministries and by sending our people as missionaries in the United States and around the world.
Matthew 20:27-28, Mark 9:35, John 13:5, Philippians 2:5-8, Philemon 1:6,7
TEAMWORK
We believe God invites us to join Him, in His work and He desires us to work as a team.
Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. I Corinthians 12:27
We practice teamwork as we enable all members to identify their spiritual gifts, challenge them to use their gifts through ClearView and provide varied opportunities for service and ministry.
Numbers 4:14, Deuteronomy 1:13-18, Proverbs 13:2, 1Corinthians 12:14
ETERNAL IMPACT
We believe the ministries of ClearView impact lives, not just for today and tomorrow, but for eternity.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
Matthew 28: 19-20
We lay foundation for eternity as we introduce people to Jesus Christ, enable them to study God’s Word, invite them to accept Christ as their personal Savior, help them to grow into mature disciples and provide opportunities for them to share their faith with others in our community, our nation and around the world.
